AIRR Community Webinar Series – The AIRR Data Commons

Dr. Felix Breden

Felix Breden is professor emeritus at Simon Fraser University. He was Chair of the AIRR Community Executive Sub-committee since 2015 when he helped found the Community with Jamie Scott. Felix is active in the Common Repository Working Group, the newly formed Diagnostics Working Group and is a member of the AIRR-C Executive Sub-committee. He continues to serve as the Scientific Manager of iReceptor Plus, a four-year European-Canadian collaborative project that unites 19 partners from Europe, Canada, and the United States. The iReceptor Plus mission is to develop means to store, share, and analyze Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire sequencing data, providing a data commons for the AIRR Community.

 

Dr. Brian Corrie

Brian Corrie is the Technical Director for the iReceptor Project, the Technical Manager for iReceptor Plus Project, and the Co-lead of the AIRR Common Repositories Working Group. He is a member of the AIRR Standards and Diagnostics Working Groups. Brian has a background in computer science with a focus of data visualization, computational science, and scientific collaboration.

Dr. Kira Neller

Kira is a Data Curator & Bioinformatician with the iReceptor team; she is also a member of the AIRR Standards Working Group. Since joining iReceptor in Oct ‘2020, she has focussed on working with authors to curate COVID-19 AIRR-seq data for the ADC, as well as integration of single-cell data and analysis tools. Kira has a background in RNA-seq analysis and large-scale genome annotation, along with experience in Medical Communications.

 

 

Dr. Scott Christley

Dr. Scott Christley is a computational biologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dr. Lindsay Cowell’s lab. He is the software development manager for VDJServer. Dr. Christley is co-chair of the Standards Working Group of the AIRR Community and was the lead designer of the AIRR Data Commons API as part of the AIRR Community Common Repository Working Group. Research interests include systems immunology and HPC/GPU algorithms for integrative, multiscale and multicellular biological simulations.
